GlobeVis for Webflow
GlobeVis displays your website visitors on an interactive 3D globe. Visitor locations are collected automatically after the app is installed and the Webflow site is published.
The GlobeVis Designer Extension lets you add the Visitor Globe directly to a Webflow page.
Installation
1 Install GlobeVis
Start the GlobeVis installation and select the Webflow site where you want to use the app.
2 Authorize the app
Webflow will display the permissions requested by GlobeVis. Review the permissions and authorize the app for the selected site.
GlobeVis uses Webflow Custom Code access to install the visitor tracking script on the authorized site.
3 Publish your Webflow site
Publish the site after installation so that the GlobeVis visitor tracking code becomes active on the live website.
Add the Visitor Globe to a page
1 Open the Webflow Designer
Open the site where GlobeVis is installed and launch the GlobeVis Designer Extension.
2 Add the globe
In the GlobeVis extension, click Add Visitor Globe.
GlobeVis will add the Visitor Globe element to the current Webflow page.
3 Publish the site
Publish your Webflow site again after adding the Visitor Globe. The interactive globe will then be visible on the published page.
How visitor tracking works
GlobeVis records visits to the authorized Webflow site and associates visitor locations with the GlobeVis installation for that site.
The globe can display visitor locations by city and country and provides a visual view of recent and historical visitor activity.
GlobeVis does not require visitors to create accounts or sign in.
Using GlobeVis
- Drag the globe to rotate it.
- Use your mouse wheel or trackpad to zoom.
- Visitor markers show locations recorded for your website.
- The globe automatically resumes rotation after interaction.
Removing GlobeVis
GlobeVis can be disconnected from the Webflow site when it is no longer required.
Disconnecting GlobeVis removes the GlobeVis tracking integration for the site and revokes the application's stored authorization for that installation.
The Visitor Globe element can also be removed from the Webflow page using the Webflow Designer.
Troubleshooting
The globe does not appear on the live site
Make sure the Visitor Globe was added to the page and that the Webflow site was published after it was added.
No visitors appear yet
GlobeVis begins collecting visitor activity after installation and publication. Open the published site in a browser and then refresh the globe after a visit has been recorded.
The Designer Extension says the globe already exists
GlobeVis prevents accidentally adding a duplicate Visitor Globe element to the same page. Use the existing GlobeVis element or remove it before adding another one.
